Grange meeting

LIVERMORE FALLS – New Norlands Grange 580 will meet at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at the hall off Route 133 on the Airport Road. A program will feature apples. Refreshments will be served and all members are asked to attend.

Fall flotilla

NEWRY – A Fabulous Fall Foliage Flotilla will take place at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, on the Lower Magalloway River, Androscoggin River and Lake Umbagog.

Participants need to bring their own canoe or kayak, a personal floatation device and lunch.

Meet at Mahoosuc Guide Service, Route 26, seven miles north of Route 2. Register by calling the Mahoosuc Land Trust at 824-3806 or e-mail [email protected].

History hike

WAYNE – Kennebec Land Trust will lead a Botany and History Hike at the Besse Historic Conservation Area from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4.

Hikers will visit the recently restored Besse Homestead and surrounding woodlands, with Theresa Kerchner, stewardship director, KLT. Meet at the KLT sign on the Old Winthrop Road. Visit www.tklt.org or call 377-2848 for details.
