LEWISTON – The memorial stone commemorating the 130th anniversary of the founding of Trinity Episcopal Parish was moved recently from its original place in the church yard on the Spruce Street side of the building to the Bates Street yard under the corner stone.
The ceremony took place on Trinity Sunday with the parish members in attendance. The memorial stone was blessed by the Right Rev. Chilton Knudsen, bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Maine.
The stone was presented by the DerBoghosian family of Lewiston to Trinity Parish in 1984 on the 130th anniversary of the founding of the church in 1854. Jerry DerBoghosian, Trinity Parish historian, took part in the ceremony.
