KEENE, N.H. (AP) – A 25-year-old Winchester, N.H., woman, has died as a result of injuries from an accident earlier this month in which she fell out of the back of her friend’s pickup truck as it was moving.
Tammy King had been in critical condition at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon for two weeks. She died Sunday.
Police Chief Gary Phillips says it appears to be an accident. He said King was standing in the back of the truck and put her leg up on the side of the rail. She leaned forward to tap the driver, 20-year-old Corey Carpenter, also of Winchester.
Phillips said Carpenter was driving slowly, but King slipped and fell.
