NORWAY – Bertrand H. Tibbetts, 74, of Oxford, died at Stephens Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, Sept. 23.
He was born in Bethel, Jan. 7, 1934, the son of George Sr. and Dorothy (Burgess) Tibbetts. He worked 20 years for C.B. Cummings then worked as a truck driver hauling antiques.
He enjoyed camping, racing, being with his family and doing yard work for people.
He is survived by his companion of 26 years, Thelma Tibbetts of Oxford; two sons, Bertrand and wife, Penny, of Norway and Gary of Oxford; three grandchildren, Tracey Tibbetts of Oxford, Trista Tibbetts of South Paris and Tate Tibbetts of Oxford; one great-grandchild, Kimberly Paul of Oxford; step-grandson, Christopher and wife, Beth Boyce, of Waterford; step-granddaughter, Jennifer and husband, Colby Tripp, of West Paris; six great-grandchildren, Kortney, Kaleb and Kody Boyce and Travis, Tyler and Olivia Tripp; two brothers, George Tibbetts of Norway and Robert Tibbetts of Gray; and one sister, Clara Monroe of Florida.
He was predeceased by his late wife, Beverly on April 2, 1979.
