CARRABASSETT VALLEY – The sixth annual Franklin County Chamber of Commerce’s scholarship golf classic is planned for Tuesday, Sept. 30, at Sugarloaf Golf Club.

The event funds the chamber’s scholarship program.

A start time is 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, but participants need to sign in between 12:30 and 1 p.m., said Lorna Nichols of the chamber.

A golfing foursome can participate for $400, which includes greens fees, cart and the awards reception as well as a gift bag and door prizes. A traveling trophy will be awarded to the winning team.

A Pontiac Solstice donated by Hight Chevrolet is the prize for the Hole in One contest.
