TURNER – Kathy J. Chan, 57, of Oakwood Drive, Turner died Wednesday unexpectedly after a long illness at her home.

She was born in Waterville, Oct. 18, 1950, the daughter of Stanley and Mary (McGraw) Wells Jr. She was a graduate of Lawrence High School in Fairfield, Class of 1969.

She worked in Turner at the Big Apple as the deli manager for 13 years. She liked bingo, watching Mike and Ben Rowe of Turner race cars. She also was an all-around avid sports enthusiest.

Survivors include her mother, Mary Knights of Fairfield; one daughter, Shilo and her husband, Lorien Mathieu, of Greene; one son, Kellen Chan and his wife, Rebecca, of Greene; one brother, Stanley Wells III and his wife, Christine, of Fredericksburg, Va.; one sister, Cindy Eames of Waterville; two granddaughters, Ashley and Colleen Mathieu of Greene; several nieces and nephews; one stepbrother, Leland Knights Jr., and one stepsister, Sherry Carter, both of Florida.

She was predeceased by a son, Justin Chan in 1991.
