This is in response to an article in the Sun Journal, Sept. 20, concerning workers’ arguments about sunset prayers in some states.
Don’t the people who were protesting realize that government or business is not required to consent to everybody’s work request? Especially because of religious grounds.
Things are not done that way in America.
All religions, including theirs, are just that – another religion. Religion doesn’t run the government or business here in the U.S.A. As for their problem, have they considered asking for one employee to break early, video the day’s sunset and put it on the break room television for all to watch at the normal break time?
Problem solved. They get to see the real sunset, in real time and the company doesn’t have to disrupt its work schedule, and religion is not an issue.
It’s the newcomers’ responsibility to adapt to a new company or environment, not the company’s or environment’s responsibility to adapt to the newcomer.
