I am sitting on my dock at water’s edge, thinking of how fortunate I am and thanking God for helping me come this far. I think of my grandchildren and wonder what life will be like for them when they reach my age.
The politicians from both parties, with the help of lobbyists or special interests, have helped put most of the nation in a huge mess. Not only is this nation at war with other countries, it is at war with itself.
It is all about money.
Big oil, drug and insurance companies, along with corporate greed, run the world.
The small business person sinks to the bottom, while the large businesses get bailed out.
Senior politicians have found themselves a haven until they are ready to retire. The people are at their mercy.
What would Social Security benefits be worth had President Bush been able to push them into the stock market?
The most important election in my lifetime is coming this November. The election is one time that voters can use their power to oust dishonest politicians. People shouldn’t vote a straight party ticket – vote for the candidate who can be trusted. Think of the grandchildren; try to give them a better future.
