RUMFORD – A Mass of Christian Burial for Sandra “Sandy” Carignan was celebrated Wednesday at Parish of the Holy Savior (St. Athanasius-St. John Catholic Church.) The Rev. Raymond “Moots” Carignan, SSJ was the celebrant. Bernie Poirier was the altar server. Mark Belanger was the organist, accompanied by the choir. Music selections were “Be Not Afraid,” “Ave Maria,” “Veni Jesus,” “Amazing Grace” and “Let There Be Peace on Earth.” Readings were done by Cindi Flaherty and Kortnee Hill. The eulogies were given by her daughter, Patti Daigle, her granddaughter, Nikki Cayer, her son-in-law, Jeff Gilbert and her niece, Marny Witas. Pallbearers were Chris Cayer, Michael Gilbert, Michael Daigle, Jeff Gilbert, Mike Daigle, Dr. Peter Carignan, Nikki Cayer and Lauren Gilbert. Interment was at Sunnyside Cemetery. A reception followed at the American Legion. Services were under the care of SG Thibault Funeral Home.
