NORWAY – Donald Marshall Glines, 87, of South Paris, died Friday, Sept. 26, at Stephens Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Norway, on Sept. 14, 1921, the son of Edwin and Emma Dunham Glines. He graduated from Norway High School in 1940. He faithfully served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was at the Battle of the Bulge.
He had been employed as a supervisor at Wilner Wood Products for 36 years. He married Vieno Whitman on March 6, 1943. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and woodcarving. He especially enjoyed time spent with family at camp in Newry, as well as mountain climbing with Merle and going riding with Bob.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years of South Paris; son, Bruce Glines and his wife, Susan, of West Paris; daughter, Pamela Tebbets and her husband, Charlie, of Lisbon; grandson, Jason Tebbets and his wife, Christie, of Lewiston; great-grandson, Owen Tebbets; brothers, Robert Glines and his wife, Beverly, of Norway and Merle Glines and his wife, Marlene, of South Paris; and nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law.
He was predeceased by his parents; and a sister, Nellie Whyte.
