ST. HYACINTHE, Quebec – Sister Evelyn Pratt (Marie-Christine), 88, of the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of Saint-Hyacinthe passed away on Sept. 25.
She was born in Groveton, N.H., on Jan. 14, 1920. She entered the Community on the 2nd of August 1938, and made profession on the Feb. 7, 1941.
She served in Norway House Manitoba and was Foundress of Saint-Theresa Point, also in Manitoba, where she served for six years. She was also a missionary in Corurupu Brazil for 10 years.
She spent the latter part of her life in Lewiston. Then she retired in Saint-Hyacinthe at the Mother House, where she still rendered services to the community. She passed away after a brief illness.
Surviving are a Sister Miss Norma C. Pratt from Ogden, Utah; and a brother Jay C. Pratt of Pilesgrove, N.J.
