LEWISTON – Monique A. Marchessault, 49, of Lewiston passed away suddenly on Wednesday, Sept. 24.
She was born in Lewiston, on March 5, 1959, the daughter of Richard and Doris (Bouchard) Charest.
“Mo” had a fulfilling career for 29 years as a laboratory technician at Central Maine Medical Center.
She loved all animals and had a special admiration for birds. She was especially fond of her pet parrot “Cheeko.” She was happily married for 28 years and was a caring aunt who loved children.
She was a sponsor for Children International for nearly 10 years.
She enjoyed making crafts including stamping, stenciling, dried flower arrangements and cross stitch. She often shared her creative gifts with family and friends.
She loved life every day and always maintained a positive attitude even while facing health issues she encountered throughout her life.
She will be dearly missed by her husband, family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Marchessault, whom she married on Oct. 4, 1980, of Lewiston; her parents of Poland; two brothers, Rick Charest of Oxford and Mark Charest of Falmouth; one sister, Sue Carrier of Lisbon Falls; 13 nieces and nephews; as well as many lifelong friends.
