I support Sen. Lois Snowe-Mello in her run for re-election to State Senate District 15.
The nonpartisan Maine Economic Research Council recently gave her a 95 percent rating. That rating was based on how Maine’s 186 legislators voted on bills important to Maine’s economy and the jobs it supports. The rating also gave her “honor roll” status.
The same group gave her opponent, Deborah Simpson, a 16.5 percent, or “very weak,” rating on the same issues.
Snowe-Mello has also received the support of the Alliance for Maine’s Future, the Taxpayer’s United endorsement, and an 83 percent rating by the League of Conservation. She has never voted to increase taxes.
During this time of economic meltdown in Maine (caused by years of Democratic majority in Augusta and Gov. Baldacci), Sen. Snowe-Mello has proven that she is the best candidate to represent State Senate District 15.
