I wonder about the National Federation of Independent Business’ Save America’s Free Enterprise Trust. Who are these people? Have they been receiving a nice tax break and no regulation from Bush, Collins and the Republicans?

Their full page ad in the Sun Journal on Sept. 19 accused Rep. Tom Allen of raising taxes five times. There is no evidence given. I happen to know that Rep. Allen has voted numerous times to lower taxes.

I support Allen and Barack Obama. They are both very intelligent. I am retired and dependent on Social Security (which I thank God that President Bush failed to privatize) and retirement funds.

I am confident they will find a way to turn around the nation’s financial crisis, get the troops out of Iraq honorably, fix Social Security and health care, and lower my taxes.

Now that is change.
