FARMINGTON – Brenda J. Cook, 76, of Livermore Falls, passed on to be with her Lord and savior on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 27, at Franklin Memorial Hospital, Farmington, after a sudden illness.
She was born on Aug. 27, 1932, in Livermore Falls, a daughter of Harold W. and Gladys (French) Jennings. She was salutatorian of the 1950 graduating class of Livermore Falls High School. She continued her education at the University of Maine and the Chandler’s School for Women in Boston, Mass.
For many years she ran the news bureau at Bates College in Lewiston, and later was employed at a medical advertising agency in New York City. She returned to Livermore Falls in the late 1950s, to care for her elderly parents.
Brenda, devoted to her religious convictions, attended Son Shine ministries at Murray Hall when she was able and was known as a Bible scholar. She enjoyed collecting and restoring antiques in her free time.
She is survived by her sister, Wanda Jennings of Livermore Falls; and many special cousins.
