DIXFIELD – The descendants of William and Pearl Jordan gathered at the home of Hector Girardin, son of Arlene Jordan Girardin, 1390 Main St., recently.

There were 27 members present. There are three original Jordans still alive: Joyce Dalton, Phyllis Briggs and Shirley York (not present).

A potluck buffet lunch was served. Children played games while adults talked and told stories of long ago.

Phyllis Briggs, 86, was the oldest member; Jon Dalton, 6, youngest. Traveling the furthest was Earl and Iris Grant from Manchester, N.H. Other members came from Minot, Canton, Jay, Wilton, Dixfield, Farmington, Rumford and Livermore Falls.

It was decided to meet again next year at the same place.
