PORTLAND – Jeffrey K. Jordan, 48, died Monday, Sept. 30, at the Maine Medical Center in Portland, where he received superior loving support from family, friends and the hospital staff. He was a resident of Hope and was formerly of Rumford.

Born in Rumford on Aug. 24, 1960, he was a son of Kenneth L. And Doris (Dupill) Jordan. He graduated from Rumford High School. He worked for Rockport Steel in Rockport, as a crane operator, welder and iron worker.

Jeff was a loving and caring husband and father. He loved the outdoors, working and spending time with his family and friends. He had the gift to make even a stranger feel like a friend and he will “not fade away.”

He was married in Camden on June 11, 2005, to Bente Parent, who survives, of Hope. Other survivors include his two daughters, who were the apple of his eye, Emma Jean and Anna Rose, of Hope; his father, Kenneth Jordan, of Livermore; a brother, Lee Jordan, of Ann Arbor, Mich.; and three sisters, Darlene Fontaine and her husband, Paul, of San Francisco, Calif., Renee Jordan and her companion, Barbara Richardson, of Lewiston, and Mary Bachelder and her husband, Kevin, of Rumford.

He was predeceased by his mother, Doris Dupill Jordan.
