PORTLAND – Good Theater will bring back last season’s hit “Marvelous! The Judy Garland Song Book” Thursday, Oct. 16. The 90-minute concert/cabaret starring Good Theater favorite Kelly Caufield with special guests Timothy Bate and Bethann Renaud will run through October 26.

“Marvelous! The Judy Garland Song Book” weaves together many of Garland’s signature songs as well as songs she performed in concert and on her weekly television show.

There will be four performances each week with shows at 7:30 Thursday ($19), at 8 p.m. Friday ($22), at 8 p.m. Saturday ($22) and at 2 p.m. Sunday ($22). For tickets or more information, call the box office at 885-5883. Good Theater performances are at St. Lawrence Arts and Community Center, 76 Congress St.

The event features such well-known songs as “Over the Rainbow,” “The Trolley Song,” “Stormy Weather,” “Come Rain or Come Shine,” and a movie medley of “Zing Went the Strings of My Heart,” “The Man That Got Away,” “You Made Me Love You,” “On the Atchison, Topeka and the Santa Fe,” and “Swanee.”

A three-piece band led by musical director Victoria Stubbs accompanies the show. Brian P. Allen, Good Theater’s artistic director, directs the concert. Tyler Sperry is the choreographer with lighting by Jamie Grant.
