WEST PARIS – A horse whisperer and trainer will arrive in Maine this week to offer demonstrations and training.

Kenny Harlow of Cumberland, Va., will be at the Painted Sky Ranch on Andrews Brook Road from Friday through Wednesday.

Besides offering basic training techniques, Harlow specializes in working with problem horses as well as offering three-day clinics that allow a horse and rider to learn training techniques simultaneously.

The Oxford Hills Chamber of Commerce will hold a special Business After Hours event for chamber members at the ranch from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday. For more information, contact the chamber at 743-2281.

On Friday, Harlow will do an introductory demonstration from 7-9 p.m. Tickets are $5.

On Saturday and Sunday, Harlow will continue a training clinic, including work with troubled horses, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. From Monday through Wednesday, he will train horses and riders during the same time. Tickets for those days are $15.
