LEWISTON – Real estate tax assessments and abatements will be the focus of a seminar planned by the Maine Real Estate and Development Association Thursday, Oct. 9, from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at Fish Bones American Grill, 70 Lincoln St.

Panelists will discuss hot issues in Maine dealing with property taxes for businesses, including Maine’s new Business Equipment Tax Exemption (BETE), Maine’s Business Equipment Reimbursement Program (BETR), and will provide tips for determining whether your property is over-valued.
