No one was injured Thursday when a Dodge Caravan jumped the sidewalk on Broadway in Farmington and struck the corner of the TD Banknorth brick building. Carl Stern, 86, of Lynchburg, Va., was going to park and hit the accelerator instead of the brake, Farmington police officer Matthew Brann said. Stern, right, and his daughter, Jennifer Stern, check out the damage of the vehicle while her son, Isaac Daley, 8, waits in the van. Brann estimated $2,000 damage to the van, which had to be towed. The building wasn’t damaged, he said.
