GRAY – Senior midfielder Hans Nielsen and junior forward Eric Schrader scored a goal each as Gray-New Gloucester notched a 2-0 win over Wells in WMC boys’ soccer action Saturday.
The Patriots (3-6) led 1-0 at the half. Schrader scored his first career goal in the second stanza.
Russ Littlefield made five saves for the Warriors (1-9), while Evan Kenney recorded his third shutout of the season for the Patriots.
Mt. Abram 4, Winthrop 0
SALEM – Phelan Barry scored two goals, and Mt. Abram’s defense held Winthrop without a shot or corner kick in a 4-0 triumph.
The Roadrunners (8-1-1) scored all of their goals in the first half. Any Carleton and Dimitrije Popovic scored Mt. Abram’s other two goals. Dylan Tisor had two assists, and Barry and Greg Dexter had one each.
Rob Michaud stopped 13 shots for Winthrop (1-8).
Girls’ soccer
Dirigo 2, Wiscasset 1
WISCASSET – Emily Chase and Erin Turner each scored a goal to aid Dirigo in a 2-1 triumph over Wiscasset in girls’ soccer action Saturday.
Haley Grant scored the Redskins’ lone goal.
Goalie Abby Austin had seven saves for Wiscasset, while Lanette Bryant peeled off 11 saves for Dirigo in the win.
Morse 4, Lewiston 1
BATH – Ann Lozano pocketed a pair of goals to lead Morse to a 4-1 triumph over Lewiston in KVAC girls’ soccer action Saturday.
The Blue Devils (3-5-1) managed to keep the game scoreless right up to the midpoint. But, the Shipbuilders went on a tear in the next half, outshooting Lewiston 23-4 and collecting four goals.
Goalie Katie Cobb made 11 saves for Lewiston, while Kate Thibodeau turned away three shots to earn the win in net for Morse.
Hall-Dale 3, Madison 0
FARMINGDALE – Amy Skillings registered a pair of goals in the second half as Hall-Dale grabbed a 3-0 victory over Madison in girls’ soccer action Saturday.
Erika Brann converted a relay from Kelcey Ladner with just 47 seconds remaining in the first half to put Hall-Dale (5-3-1) up 1-0 at the break.
Cecile Thibodeau made 13 saves for Madison, while Anna Levesque redirected three shots for Hall-Dale to earn the shutout.
Waynflete 4, Gray-New Gloucester 0
GRAY – Junior forward Morgan Woodhouse scored her 53rd and 54th career goal as Waynflete cruised to a 4-0 blanking over Gray-New Gloucester in WMC girls’ soccer action Saturday.
Annie Cutler and Sasha Timpson rounded out the scoring for the Flyers (7-1).
Goalie Taylor Damon made 13 saves in net for the Patriots, while goalie Julia Pope had an uneventful afternoon in net for the Flyers.
Hebron 1, Hyde 0
HEBRON – Emma Valli scored the game-winning goal 10 minutes into the second half as Hebron grabbed a 1-0 win over Hyde in soccer action Saturday.
Sarah Markey provided the assist on Valli’s goal.
Goalie Emily Russell made five saves in goal for Hebron.
Field hockey
Camden Hills 3, Oak Hill 2
WALES – Monica Doucette scored off a breakaway midway through the second overtime to lead Camden Hills to a 3-2 triumph over Oak Hill.
The goal was Doucette’s second of the game. Maci Heal also scored for the Windjammers (4-7). Kayla Clark scored both of Oak Hill’s goals in the first half, with assists from Becca Tucci and Ariel Dalessandris.
Sara Lacroix made 16 saves for Oak Hill (3-8), while Sara Nason stopped 14 shots.
Hebron 1, Gould 0
HEBRON – Kailey Bubier netted the only goal as Hebron recorded a 1-0 win over Gould in field hockey action Saturday.
Though Hebron (4-1) outshot Gould (0-3) by a margin of 14-7, the Huskies’ defense stepped up to the plate and kept the game a low-scoring affair.
Meghan Munro made eight saves for Hebron to earn the shutout.
Football
Pingree 47, Hebron 0
HEBRON – Pat George and Derrick Pratt scored two touchdowns each as Pingree steamrolled Hebron 47-0 in football action Saturday.
George recorded a 58-yard touchdown pass reception and a 10-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. Pratt collected a 14-yard touchdown pass reception and a 32-yard touchdown run as Pingree scored four touchdowns in the second quarter to take a 40-0 lead at the half.
