SOUTH PARIS – The wedding of Joy Marie Stevens and Jere Vernon Cram was held at 2 p.m. on July 19 at the South Paris Baptist Church. Pastor Mike Booker officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Cram is the daughter of Rodney and Carolyn Stevens of Oxford. Mr. Cram is the son of Michael and Sally Cram of Hiram and Gerald Cote of Rumford.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a strapless satin A-line gown with beaded embroidery and lace detail with organza overlay and chapel train. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of pink and ivory roses and stephanotis.

A college friend of the bride, Heather Harriman, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Sarah Ward and Hilary Pelletier, college friends of the bride, and Eva Cram, sister of the bridegroom. Avery Kimball, cousin of the bridegroom, was flower girl.

Charlie Young was best man for his friend. Ushers were Darrell Haines, college friend of the bridegroom, Benjamin Shaw, cousin of the bridegroom, and Scott Stevens, brother of the bride. Lucas Yates, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.

A reception followed at the Paris Fire Department, after which the couple traveled to Bar Harbor. They are residing in Norway.

The bride is a graduate of Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School and the University of Maine at Farmington. She is a teacher at Oxford Elementary School in Oxford.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Sacopee Valley High School and New Brunswick Bible Institute. He is employed at KBS Building Systems in South Paris.
