The bailout of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and other unscrupulous businesses the federal government is attempting to save from their own stupidity should not be placed on the backs of the beleaguered taxpayer. I totally disagree that the taxpayer should be made responsible for saving those companies from bankruptcy.

I have a solution to all the problems. It’s very simple and very easy to understand.

Suspend all income taxes, for everyone.

The troubled businesses could recoup their losses and reinvest in their businesses, making them solvent.

Homeowners in arrears with their mortgages could pay up, and those who don’t owe anyone can buy items to further stimulate the economy.

Everyone wins.

The only loser I can see in all that is Congress – people might decide it isn’t needed.
