Executives ready for UW campaign

LEWISTON – With the 2008 community fundraising campaign under way, five businesses are supporting United Way of Androscoggin County by loaning individuals from their companies to assist with a community goal of $1,900,000.

Loaned executives assist with the development and execution of workplace campaigns by conducting presentations to local businesses and groups of employees. The loaned executives participated in a week-long training where they developed leadership, presentation, project management and public speaking skills, as well as a deeper knowledge of the impact United Way has in Androscoggin County.

Susan Lindkvist is on loan from L.L. Bean, where she works in the Customer Service Department. She attended New England College of Art and earned her associate’s degree in graphic design and resides in Auburn with her husband, Richard.

Loaned Executive Amey Coffin comes from Hannaford, where she is a customer service manager. She is earning a degree at Southern Maine Community College.

Formed Fiber Technologies is sponsoring Susan Sturgis of Minot. She is a member of the Basic Needs Impact Council for United Way of Androscoggin County.

Vicki Bobczynski is on loan from Tambrands/Procter & Gamble, where she is a training leader. She received her associate’s degree in business administration and is pursuing her bachelor’s degree in business with a minor in marketing.

Seth Warren is an intern from USM-L/A where he is finishing a four-year degree. Warren lives in Buckfield with his wife.
