RUMFORD – The River Valley Growth Council announces the topics and speakers for a series of lunch and learn seminars at the Technology Center, 60 Lowell St. Seminars run from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Cost is $10, or $8 for River Valley Chamber of Commerce members, and includes lunch.

Seminars are:

• “Starting Your Small Business,” offered Oct. 15, with presenter Rose Creps of Maine Small Business Development Center.

• “Marketing Basics,” offered Nov. 19, with presenter Greg Gould, Maine SBDC.

• “Increasing Your Sales by Helping People say Yes,” offered Dec. 17 with Rose Creps.

• “Understanding The Basics of Cash Flow,” offered Jan. 21, 2009, with Rose Creps.

• “The Basics of E-Commerce,” offered Feb. 18, with Greg Gould.

Rose Creps has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in global business administration, both from Southern New Hampshire University. She previously worked as a financial consultant and an accounting manager.

Gregory Gould is a certified business counselor in the Auburn office of the Maine Small Business Development Center, hosted by AVCOG. Gould holds a bachelor of science degree in marketing and a master’s degree in business administration, both from the University of Rhode Island.
