LEWISTON – The Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce will present an energy efficiency workshop for businesses and other institutions on Oct. 15, from 7:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Bates College Dining Commons on Central Avenue.

Sponsored by the chamber and the Natural Resources Council of Maine, the workshop will feature keynote speaker Laurie Lachance, president of the Maine Development Foundation. Lachance will set the stage for the three major sessions to begin at 9 a.m.

Those sessions include “Retrofitting Buildings for Energy Efficiency,” led by Clifton Greim of Harriman Associates and Paul Caron of the Lewiston School Department; “Financing Energy Improvements,” led by Charlie Emmons of the Finance Authority of Maine and Mike Finnegan of Coastal Enterprises Inc.; and “What Gets Measured Gets Done – How to Keep Track of Your Energy Use,” led by Andy Meyer of Safe Handling and Jim Wellehan of Lamey Wellehan.

A networking luncheon will follow at noon. There will be free individual consultations with Efficiency Maine staff throughout the morning.
