AUBURN – Clarence Michael Fortier, 90, of 54 South Lisbon Road, Lewiston, passed away Oct. 4, at Hospice House.

He was born Jan. 21, 1918, Lynn, Mass., the son of Romanuel and Louisa (Jolicouer) Fortier and attended Lewiston schools.

He owned Fortier’s Locksmith for many years and was well-known throughout the state. He was a life member of the Elks Lodge, Martindale Golf Club and Apple Valley Golf Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing golf.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Anita (Doucette) Fortier of Lewiston.

He was predeceased by his parents; sisters, Bertha Woodsome and Yvonne Couillard; brothers, Leo Fortier and Elmo Fortier; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
