AUBURN – Ann R. Figoli, 64, of Lewiston, died Oct. 7, at Hospice House after a long illness, with her three children by her side.
She was born Nov. 10, 1943, the daughter of Roger P. and Irene (Parent) Croteau of Lewiston. She attended local schools and graduated from Lewiston High School and University of Maine with an associate degree.
She was a Title 1 Educational Technician with the Lewiston School Deptartment for 33 years. She loved those students at Farwell, Frye, Wallace and Longley Elementary Schools. She retired due to ill health in 2005. She received the “Teacher of the Year” award from WBLM in 1990.
She was formerly married to Donald M. Savoie, they later divorced. On Sep. 8, 1979, she married Francis P. Figoli.
She was a member of the Maine and National Education Association and the Retired Teachers Association of Augusta. She was a member of Holy Family Parish.
She loved her children and grandson dearly. She enjoyed playing the piano and organ and her trips to Florida and California with her daughters.
She is survived by her two daughters; Linda J. Savoie and partner, Leah Bartley, of Lewiston, Lisa J. Fisher and her husband, George Fisher, Jr., of Leeds; her son Donald W. Savoie of California; her brother Roger L. Croteau and wife, Georgette, of Lisbon; one niece Tina Grigsby and her husband, James, of Florida, and their children Ryan and Caila; and her precious grandson Jason Roy Fisher of Leeds.
She was predeceased by her husband Francis Figoli, her mother and father, and a sister Constance Croteau. And her wonderful Yorkie and companion Sampson.
