AUBURN – Marie Ange Moreau, 84, passed away on Oct. 7, at Clover Health Care Facility.

She was born in Lewiston on February 21, 1924, the youngest of nine children to Thomas and Alma (Godin) Dumais. She was educated in Lewiston schools. Her employment included working in various mills, then she and her husband owned and operated the Swan’s Tourist Home for nine years. She later went on to work at Paine Incense and retire from Gould and Scammon in 1986.

She married Leo R. Moreau on November 23, 1946. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Auburn.

She is survived by two daughters; Diane Chabot and husband, Dick, and Christine McMahon and husband, Michael, both of Lewiston; one son, Roland Moreau and wife, Jane, of Houston, Texas; six grandchildren, Richard Doyle and wife, Gail, Debbie Cotton and husband, Ed, Penny Howard and husband, Dave, Dawn Beaucaire and husband, Steven, Danita Mathieu and husband, Paul and Danielle Nickerson and husband, Jason; six great-grandchildren, Deanna Maxim, Sarah McMahon-Boulet, Brea Mathieu, twins Alexis and Abigail Beaucaire, and Brody Nickerson; two brothers, Antonin (Pete) Dumais of Lewiston and Brother Bertrand Dumais of Ste. Foy, Quebec; sister-in-law, Ida Dumas; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her loving husband; her parents; three brothers, Thomas, Fernand and Alphonse (Paul) Dumais; and three sisters, Flora Rossignol, Theresa Larochelle and Sister Antoinette Dumais.

The family would like to offer their sincere thanks and appreciation to the staffs at Clover Health Care and Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice for the care and support they provided to Marie and her family.
