PORTLAND – Ronald G. Levesque, 71, of Harpswell, formerly of Lewiston, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Oct. 7, after a long illness.
He was born in Lewiston, the son of Cyprien and Blanche (Paradis) Levesque. He was a graduate of Lewiston High School and served four years in the U.S. Air Force.
In 1962, he married the former Claire Breault. He was a 25-year member and retiree of the Lewiston Fire Department and member of the 133rd National Guard Charlie Company. In 1987, he and his wife moved to Harpswell, where he enjoyed many wonderful years of retirement on the ocean. He enjoyed fishing and boating and built a boat with Skeet Catlin, a family friend. He also was an avid NASCAR and Boston Bruins fan. He was a wonderful husband, father and Grumpy who will be missed by all.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Claire; his daughters, Carrie Lacasse and her husband, Gary and Michelle Allen and her husband, Paul; grandchildren Katie and Kristen Lacasse, Lauren and Reid Allen, all of Lewiston; brother-in-law Richard Breault of Harpswell and McLean, Va.; sister, Lorraine Adams of Lisbon; brother, Paul Levesque and wife, Connie, of Statesville, N.C.; sisters-in-law Connie and Josie Levesque, both of Lewiston.
He was predeceased by his parents; brothers Norman and Daniel; father and mother-in-law Lucien and Laurence (Peggy) Breault; brother-in-law James Adams; and stepmother Anna Vincent Mercier Levesque.
