RUMFORD – The following arrests have been logged at the Rumford Police Department. Unless otherwise noted, the following are to be arraigned Dec. 2 in Rumford District Court:

• John L. Houghton, 43, Rumford, violation of a protection order, 9:20 p.m. Sept. 30 on River Street. He was released on $1,000 unsecured bail.

• Dylan Blais, 29, Peru, disorderly conduct, 1:20 a.m. Sept. 28 on Oxford Avenue. He was released on $300 unsecured bail.

• Chelsea M. Freeman, 18, Peru, domestic assault, 12:50 a.m. Sept. 28 on Holyoke Avenue. She was released on $400 unsecured bail and will be arraigned on Dec. 2 in Rumford District Court.

• Michael D. Petrie, 26, Rumford, operating under the influence, 10:45 p.m. Sept. 27 on Swain Road. He was released on $600 unsecured bail and will be arraigned on Jan. 6, 2009, in Rumford District Court.

• David Smith, 56, Livermore Falls, assault and disorderly conduct, 11:40 p.m. Sept. 25 on River Street. He was released on $1,000 unsecured bail.

• Michael W. Melcher, 31, Rumford, operating under the influence (second offense), 11 p.m. Sept. 25 on Knox Street. He was released on $1,000 unsecured bail and will be arraigned on Jan. 6 in Rumford District Court.

• Peter J. Cunningham, 24, Rumford, operating under the influence and criminal speed, 1:22 a.m. Sept. 24 on Route 2. He was released on $800 unsecured bail.

• Adam Downs, 27, Rumford, disorderly conduct, 1 a.m. Sept. 24 on Waldo Street. He was released on $300 unsecured bail and will be arraigned on Nov. 4 in Rumford District Court.
