AUBURN – Inez C. Leblanc, 76, of 20 Congress St., Rumford, died Wednesday, Oct. 8, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice in Auburn, after a short battle with cancer.

She was born in Rumford on Nov. 5, 1931, the daughter of Lincoln and Hazel Bucknam Burnham. Educated in Rumford schools, she was employed for many years as a stitcher in the local shoe industry, both at G.H. Bass and Norway Footwear.

She enjoyed taking long walks, cross-stitching and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her ex-husband, Herman Leblanc of Rumford; three sons, Armand and his wife, Cynthia, of Sabattus, Clayton and his wife, Leticia, of Somersville, Fla., and Chris and his wife, Julie, of Ocala, Fla.; a son-in-law, Charles Casey of Peru; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She leaves us to join her daughter, Tina Casey, who passed away this past Easter Sunday.
