FREEPORT – The wedding of Ashley Staples and Joseph Mannisto was held at 4 p.m. on June 21 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Freeport. The Rev. Martin Jordan officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Mannisto is the daughter of Mark and Debbie Staples of Durham. Mr. Mannisto is the son of Glenn Mannisto of Milford and Cecilia Mannisto Reeves of Virginia Beach, Va.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. Attendants for the bride were Kara Schomber and Melissa Steinmetz, friends, and Jeannette Carter and Lindsey Pelletier, cousins of the bride. Brainna Mannisto, daughter of the bridegroom, was flower girl.
Andrew Mannisto served as best man for his brother. Ushers were Steve Straub, Cris Brunetti, Tony Casella, William Spear and Alan Bolster, friends of the bridegroom, and Matthew Staples, brother of the bride.
A reception followed at the Hilton Garden Inn ballroom, after which the couple traveled to Maui, Hawaii.
The bride is a graduate of Brunswick High School and Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pa., with a bachelor’s degree in finance. She is employed at Aerus in Augusta.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Old Town High School and is owner of the Aerus Franchise in Augusta.
