I support Paul Gilbert to represent the citizens of House District 87. His experience and life-long interest in local government and civic affairs can serve the public well at the state level.

Gilbert is a veteran, who served in the Army from 1965 to 1968. Upon his return, he continued his education at the University of Maine at Farmington and graduated in 1972. Now retired, his work experience covers both Maine’s private commercial sector and the Maine Department of Labor, where he managed the Maine Job Service office in Rumford and then the CareerCenter in East Wilton, until retirement.

He has served in elected and voluntary positions in local government, church committees and veterans’ organizations.

He has been active in the Democratic Party since 1960. His major concerns are social and environmental issues.

His presence in the Legislature would be a great asset for residents of District 87.
