SOUTH PORTLAND – The Maine Public Relations Council’s annual conference will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 16 at the Wyndham Hotel.

It will include breakfast and a luncheon and feature communications and public relations expert Michael Smart and a panel of journalists who will discuss winning pitch techniques. The conference will also offer four break-out sessions regarding leadership and business development, and a discussion on the transforming media landscape with special focus on the use of video games for communicating clients’ messages.

Price for the conference is $100 for members, $140 for non-members.
