GREENE – Filmmakers Fran and Brooke Reidelberger will present their film, “Bavaria” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, and 2 and 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, at the Araxine Wilkins Sawyer Memorial, 371 Sawyer Road. Admission is free and the doors will open one hour before shows.

Reidelberger has been chasing mountains to see what’s on the other side since his childhood days in Nashville, Ill.

Reidelberger is married to the former Brooke Metcalf, daughter of the late James W. Metcalf, travel film producer and lecturer. Brooke was a magazine photographer and travel consultant. Together the Reidelbergers joined the travelogue profession in 1977.

Reidelberger, who gives the live lecture presentations of the Reidelberger films, appears regularly on travel lecture platforms. When not traveling the world, the Reidelbergers make their home in Grayling, Mich.

The Reidelberger offer a digital show on Bavaria, focusing on food, festivals, mountain scenery, history and storybook towns. Using archival footage, they show the re-birth of Munich after World War II and capture the spirit of Munich today at the city’s world Oktoberfest.

The Romantic Road, the Bavarian Forest, Mad Ludwig’s castles, the tourist town trilogy of Mittenwald, Oberammergau and Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Dachau, Regensburg, Bamberg, a children’s festival, woodcarvers, beer makers, and hang gliders are all featured in the new digital video.
