AUBURN – Lynne McGhee, actress and director of sponsorship and development for the Maine State Music Theatre, will be the featured speaker at the Monday, Oct. 20, meeting of the Auburn Art Club. The meeting will take place at 2 p.m. in the High Street Congregational Church, High and Pleasant streets, and is open only to club members.
The Auburn Art Club, composed of 50 Auburn women, meets bimonthly October to April, with programs highlighting various art forms and their artists. The club has a history of showcasing the arts since its organization in 1880.
The Maine State Music Theatre aims to offer live professional presentations that educate and enrich lives of the performers and the audiences. The theater is housed on the Bowdoin college campus in Brunswick.
McGhee will talk about the new season and reflect on the diverse productions of last season, ranging from the Elvis Presley music show, “All Shook Up,” to the patriotic and dramatic fervor of “Les Miserables.”
Elizabeth Bell, Verona Crafts, Evelyn Larrabee and Annie Ray will host the meeting.
