I believe in Barack Obama’s bid for the presidency.

I believe his energy policies will help the people of Maine with the high cost of both gas and oil. We have long, cold winters, and much of Maine is very rural, so many must drive a long distance to and from work every day.

I believe that, because he has worked at the grass-roots level, he fully understands and cares about the problems of the lower and middle classes, and will do what it takes to give tax relief.

I also believe in his policy to give a tax break to companies that will create new jobs right here at home.

We need a drastic change in the government, and Obama is the best hope I see for any chance of a bright future for Maine and all of America.
