As a first-year college student, I am beginning to think about what the future will hold. Will I have the same opportunities millions before me had? Or will I be tied down, like millions now, because of a failed economy?

Barack Obama will give me, and millons like me, the chance that past generations have had. His economic policies giving tax breaks to middle class families like mine will help provide a chance to pay back loans.

This policy will not only affect students, but other young people trying to start a life. This tax break will also help families in financial crisises, which includes most families across the nation.

When I think about the world I am soon about to enter, I am nervous. With Barack Obama as president, I am less fearful and more confident that I, too, can make a difference in my community and the world.
