WEST PARIS – Theresa M. Bernard, 84, of Penobscot Street, Rumford, died Thursday Oct. 16, at Ledgeview Living Center with her family at her side, following a long illness.
She was born in Rumford on June 22, 1924, a daughter of John and Laura (Shea) O’Hearn.
Theresa was a 1943 graduate of Stephens High School.
She was employed for 15 years at Newberry’s in Rumford.
Theresa was a communicant of Parish of the Holy Savior.
Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Robert J. Bernard of Rumford; a daughter, Linda Pawlick and husband Thaddeus of Oakland; three granddaughters, Jessica Soucy and husband Chris, Kate Pawlick and Casey Pawlick; and a great-grandson, Abe.
She was predeceased by her parents; six sisters, Florence Gautreau, Loretta Shatzer, Lorraine Perkins, Dora Lefebvre, Gertrude Jannace and Olive O’Hearn; and a brother, John O’Hearn.
The family would like to thank her niece, Barbara Richards, for all of her love and support over the years.
