BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) – A Bridgeport man was shot to death inside a city cemetery.
Police say the body of 21-year-old Jose Suearez was found Saturday morning inside the Lakeview Cemetery.
The 40-acre cemetery was built in 1870 and runs along Boston Avenue and Old Mill Green.
Don Edwards, the assistant superintendent at the cemetery, says the property is well lighted and is patrolled at night by police and a night guard. He called the shooting an unfortunate, but isolated incident.
Police have not made any arrests.
