LEWISTON – A Lewiston man who once spent time in prison for embezzling more than $30,000 from a Livermore historical center is wanted again by authorities for stealing more than $10,000 from his most recent employer.

Armour L. Goodman, 40, of Auburn is wanted by the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office on a warrant issued last spring. He is presently being listed as a fugitive by the department.

Chief Deputy Mike Ward said Goodman was indicted by a grand jury last December on felony theft charges and a warrant for his arrest was issued in April.

Ward said Goodman is accused of stealing more than $10,000 from a Lewiston business.

Sgt. Jeff Parshall of the Lewiston Police Department said the initial report against Goodman came in April 2007 from Custom Window Decorators on Lisbon Street in Lewiston, but he was unable to release any other information about the case.

In January 2003, Goodman, the former bookkeeper at the Washburn-Norlands Living History Center, admitted stealing more than $30,000 from the Livermore group. He was ordered to repay more than $33,000 after serving a nine-month jail sentence. The former Dixfield resident’s last known address is Auburn, according to Ward.

Other fugitives from justice listed by the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office include:

• Michael Trepanier, 22, is wanted by authorities for a probation violation from August. Ward said Trepanier, whose last known address was Mechanic Falls, was involved in a foot chase with police sometime between August and now, but was not apprehended. He is believed to be in the Lisbon area.

• Martin Thomas, 44, is wanted by authorities for a felony domestic violence assault charge. He is believed to be in the Fryeburg area driving a 1996 black Dodge Dakota pickup with Maine license plate number 2501 QC.

Anyone with information on any of these cases is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 784-7361.
