LISBON – Roger H. Haas Jr., 57, of Lisbon, died Saturday, Oct. 18, after a long illness.
He was born April 4, 1951, to Roger H. Sr. and Shirley (Parker) Haas, in Haverhill, Mass.
He was educated in Mechanic Falls schools and graduated from Edward Little High School. He worked a variety of jobs throughout his life until illness forced him into retirement.
“Choo,” as he was affectionately known, was quickwitted and had an answer for everything. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He was a member of the American Legion in Mechanic Falls and Lisbon.
Survivors include his sisters, Sandy and Charlie Millett of Mechanic Falls, Wendy Provencher of Lisbon, Edrie and Rick Marchand of Massachusetts, and Carol and Arnie Saklad of Florida; children, Sandy and David Toothaker, and their children, Rebecka, Danielle and David of Auburn, Robert Haas of Greene, Ken and Nicole Haas of West Paris, Matthew Haas of South Carolina, Jonathan Haas of Indiana, and Scott Haas of Poland; and several nieces and nephews, including Roger Millett and Cindy O’Connor of Mechanic Falls, Clifford Haas Jr. of Lewiston, and Corey Provencher of Lisbon.
He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Milton, Stanley, Clifford and Sterling; and his very special niece, Gretchen Dunn.
