Legion to meet

LISBON – Coombs Mountfort Post and Unit, American Legion, will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, at the post home, Webster Street.

Candy buffet

LEWISTON – The Jesus Party, inner-city youth outreach, will hold its 11th annual Holy Ghost Candy Buffet from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, at headquarters, 291 Bates St.

The event is not a party, but it is a walk-through experience of 50 pans of candy, arranged in smorgasbord style.

It is open for all inner-city children and their families and will be staffed by directors Doug and Sonia Taylor, along with other ministry volunteer staff. Costumes are not necessary.
