WILTON – Police are looking for information on three burglary complaints received last Thursday and Friday.
They are specifically looking for information regarding a suspicious person in the area of Arkay Trailer Park on the night of Oct. 16.
The person was described by witnesses as being approximately 5 feet, 5 inches tall, 180 pounds, wearing a hooded gray sweatshirt with the word “Army” in blue lettering across the front, blue jeans and either a black or blue baseball hat.
A resident of the trailer park returned home to find that someone had been inside his home and stole a safe from his bedroom. Officer Steven Brown responded at approximately 8:25 Thursday, police said in a release.
It was determined that someone had entered the trailer through a locked side door by prying it open. A safe was found outside the residence in a wooded area. It had been pried open and contents were taken, including prescription medications. No other belongings were taken, police said.
Brown also responded that evening to Village View Street for a burglary and criminal mischief complaint.
A resident said she found the back door of her home open on Oct. 14. Approximately $328 worth of belongings were taken, including a weed trimmer, a circular skill saw, a jigsaw, a power drill and smaller tools.
The owner’s vehicle was vandalized with vulgar writing on the doors and windows.
At approximately 1 p.m. Friday, Brown responded to a burglary complaint from a person on Weld Road. The resident had returned home to find a broken back window. Police believe a chair was used to enter the residence through the window.
Although nothing appeared to be stolen, multiple items in his bedroom were moved.
Police are looking for any information on any of these events and are asking anyone with information to call the department at 645-3876.
