Recently, I came across a torn and crumpled Obama-Biden campaign sign that had been tossed into the bushes in front of the Auburn YMCA.

Sen. Obama’s opponents had apparently seen fit to express their views by destroying property and by disregarding the right to free political expression.

Like this sign, much has been kicked to the curb during the past eight years, including civil rights, the environment, the world reputation, and even the public’s collective economic well-being.

The McCain-Palin ticket continues to push for more of the same with its mean-spirited, robo-politics of character assassination, divisiveness, and fear.

I was able to fix the broken Obama sign.

On Nov. 4, people will be given the chance to begin mending this nation by voting for integrity, thoughtful discourse, financial responsibility, and for a sense of shared purpose and sacrifice.

Please support Obama-Biden in 2008.
