TURNER – A surprise party was held recently for Fernand and Yvette Potvin of Turner on the occasion of their 60th wedding anniversary. The event was planned by their children and was held July 5 in Brunswick.

Mr. Potvin and the former Yvette Raymond were married Nov. 25, 1948, at St. Mary’s Church in Lewiston.

Their children are Rejeanne Bisson of Canada, Robert Potvin of Oklahoma, Donald Potvin of Lewiston, Richard Potvin of Alabama, Gerard Potvin of Brunswick, Denise Potvin of Augusta, Ann Nichols of Turner, Joline Timberlake of Turner, Monique Cote of Lewiston and David Potvin of Virginia. They also have 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Potvin is a housewife and a member of St. Philip’s Church. Mr. Potvin is a veteran of World War II, and was a baker at Jake and Andy’s Donut Shop. He is also a member of St. Philip’s Church.
