AUBURN – Geraldine R. Robichaud, 79, of Russell Park, passed away Saturday afternoon, Oct. 25, at the Hospice House with her family at her side.
She was born in Lewiston on Jan. 18, 1929, a daughter of Daniel and Pearl (Wight) Hopkins. She was educated in local schools and remained a lifelong resident of this community.
On June 7, 1947 she married Norman E. Robichaud who predeceased her Jan. 20, 2003.
Geraldine was employed for 16 years at Central Maine Medical Center as a dietary service technician until her retirement and was a member of St. Patrick’s Church.
For several years, she gave her time as a volunteer at Barker Arms. Among her favorite enjoyments were shopping, doing word puzzles, painting and knitting. But most of all, she treasured the special times with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be sadly missed. Memere appreciated all the special loving care she received from all of her grandchildren, especially her granddaughter, Hope. The family wishes to thank Clover Health Care, Russell Park and the Hospice House for the wonderful care she received.
She leaves two daughters, Betty Howe and husband, Ronald, of Auburn, and Norma Langelier and husband, Guy, of Lewiston; a son, Perry D. Robichaud and wife, Penney, of Wales; seven grandchildren, Todd Howe, Hope Moore and husband, Kevin, Peter Langelier and wife, Naomi, Adam Langelier and wife, Victoria, Kristin Merlino, Brad Robichaud and wife, Jodi, and Bryan Robichaud; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Irene Cote of Auburn; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; three sisters, Madeleine, Mary and Dorothy; and a brother, Daniel.
