On Nov. 4, the citizens of New Auburn, Durham, New Gloucester and Poland have a decision to make about the state Senate. Of the two distinguished women running in the race, only one has battled for health care reform, the environment and business, and that is Sen. Lois Snowe-Mello.

She believes that people should have the say in their own health care and be able to pick and choose from a variety of plans, and not have a state government stranglehold on the system limiting people’s choices for care and driving the cost sky-high in the name of socialized medicine.

She has an 83 percent favorable environmental rating from the League of Conservation Voters and a 95 percent favorable rating from the Maine Economic Research Institute. She’s great for the environment, great for business and job growth.

Sen. Lois Snowe-Mello deserves another term in Senate District 15.
